online MBA or MIT ?ECept Education > Online Degree Q. Hi. I am intested in doing an MBA or more preferably a Masters in Information Technoloy online via distant education. The school must be accredited and recognized. Any suggestions/comments/recommendations? A. I did my MBA from www.leics.ac.uk. They have MBA with various branches, IT, HR, E-Commerce., etc. Don't know about your location but I did mine through their local agent. 100% genuine and accredited...because I was there 2 years when I did my undergraduate, so it is not a mail box. You might want to see if a nearby library has the book "Get Your IT Degree and Get Ahead," published by McGraw-Hill. Although my name is on the cover, my role was very modest (and I don't earn royalties); my daughter and an expert researcher named Tom Head did nearly all the work, and they did a good job. Capella University has both programs that you're looking for. They're apparently in the process of launching a re-vamped MBA program that looks to be very unique. Their MS in IT program is still fairly new, but most of the reviews I've seen have been positive. I would definitely keep them on your list of possibilities. You can find out more at www.capellauniversity.edu. I would recommend Duke University for an Online MBA or University of Illinois (my alma mater!) for an Online Masters in Computer Science.... Mainly because these are top-tier machines that everyone would recognize. Duke, from what I understand, is very expensive. U of I is around 1100 per course. I think 8 courses are required but you can transfer in up to two, I believe. You might also look at University of Wisconsin, Penn State, or Indiana University since they usually have a pretty good variety -- though don't know if their degrees include what you want. The URL to U of I's web site is: http://www.outreach.uiuc.edu/degree_programs/ Click on the link for computer science and look for I2CS program. No residency required. U of I has one of the best reputations in the country for Computer Science and their online courses seem to be pretty well organized (I have taken one from there though I got my BS and CS via the "old-fashioned" analog way.
