What gun training courses did you guys have as your first?

Q. What gun training courses did you guys have as your first? Did you go to the police training course or did you prefer a private one?

A. -NRA Personal Protection Class using "The Basics of Personal Protection, A Practical Handgun Handbook". Private class sponsored by our local recreation department in Mt. Lebanon, PA using the local police range. -The first actual, formal, gun-training course I had was the beta-test session of the AACFI MN carry permit training course, less than a year ago. I was mostly taught individually by various individuals over the years. (Since then, I've also taken the NRA Range Officer course, and gotten NRA instructor certification for three other courses.) -I went to the local NRA sponsored group that did training.
