Multi Training,can anyone explain it?

What's more, those quickie courses are mostly worthless - they teach the test, not the material, and no insurance company will cover you for solo after you finish one without significant additional training. Please explain to me how the insurance company knows if the Multiengine rating comes from Groton in a three day course or from Flight Safety? A multi-engine rating is a multi-engine rating. Unless you are refering to the fact that the courses do not build time. Bingo. The course is cheap because you get very few multi hours - too few to be insurable, regardless of any other factors. I agree with that you are not going to use that ticket anywhere. But look at the requirements below and let's follow the logic. The key is Total-time, Multi-time, time in type. Right. A. Ok So Are you recommending that if I want to buy and fly a Cessna 340 I should do it "right" and train at a FBO for 500 hours? I guess I do not understand the difference of going to Double Eagle for 2 days and there is a mysterious training course out there that insurance companies bend over backwards to issue a policy. What I am trying to convey that one can get a ME license in about 10 hours. It is not going to let you rent an airplane -- let alone fly anything solo. But the next step time building. There are a lot of time builder programs that cost way less than dual. Are you suggesting I take 500 hours of dual? With I timebuilder course when I get close to 400 Multitime it is time to start thinking ahead and take a specific type course from whatever your favorite company (Flight Safety or what have you)
