Q. Do DL jobs pay the same as "live" teaching jobs?

A. -Adjunct pay for DL positions seem to be pretty much in line with what I see adjuncts get paid for on-ground jobs. The rub here, as noted, is that DL schools typically don't employ many full-timers. This is, IMHO, one of the downfalls of DL. Adjuncts are great to bring some fresh air to an academic program. However, people who teach adjunct just aren't as involved in the academic program as full-time faculty. -I would think that designing an online program would take much more time than designing a live one. On the other hand there is so much more flexibility, and once designed and written on online course would be much less time consuming to teach than a live class. I was wondering what the rest of you
