A. -I wouldn't want to live and work there, because I'm spoiled here, but Ireland is just beautiful and the people out in the country side are very friendly and would give you the shirt off their back. -My client is a global industry leader in providing value-added, turn-key contract manufacturing services for emerging and major OEM's in the commercial electronics industry. They provide OEM's with electronic interconnection assemblies, including complex printed circuit board assemblies, mechanical and molded cable/harness assemblies, electromechanical subassemblies, as well as total system assembly and integration. Major markets include telecommunications, networking systems, workstations, mass storage data systems, medical, and industrial controls. Primary customers include Sun, Bay Networks, EMC and HP. Our client has determined that in order to effectively service their existing key accounts and further enhance their business relationships within those accounts on a national and international basis, they need to put in place dedicated account managers for those customers. In addition, they feel strongly that in order to maintain their leadership role in the contract manufacturing services field and continue to effectively grow their business in an increasingly competitive field, a direct, dedicated team of business development/account managers is required. Our firm has been retained to identify and put in place a team of experienced sales professionals in the cable/harness assembly field on a national basis. The first initiative is to identify two account managers for the New England marketplace. This staffing project will then move into other regional areas where major customers are located or targeted for development such as RTP and the Bay area. The ideal candidate must demonstrate an in depth knowledge of the cable assembly business in the New England OEM marketplace. He must have a successful track record in conceptual selling and in developing business relationships at the executive level. The ideal candidate will have outstanding presentation skills and a proven track record in successfully negotiating and managing multi-year, multimillion dollar contracts. This individual must understand and embrace the concept of team selling and know how to effectively utilize all internal resources. A college degree, formal sales training and a minimum of 5-7 years of field sales experience are required. This individual must be self motivated and feel comfortable working autonomously in an aggressive, entrepreneurial environment.
