Q. advice needed: puppy and child. who know Sales Training Guide ? We could use some advice. We got a mixed rotty puppy [about ten or eleven weeks old now] from the shelter a week ago. He is a nice little guy. We also have a five year old child who has dearly wanted a puppy for about two years now. He has not been around dogs much other than the neighbor's 8 year old malamute who is basically bored with people, so he is not aware of how to interact with a puppy properly. Now, for the question for all you "experts": How to teach DS not to squirm and wiggle his various extremities when puppy does that nippy/grabby/I want to play with you with my mouth thing so as to discourage the behavior rather than encourage it?
