Anyone knows about Pa Driving Test?

Q. Again, good info for those who want to buy a german car over in Germany and drive it around for a while. It looks like the american women of there can't seem to pass the drivers test or don't want to go through the red tape in order to get the classes. Next time I go, I'm going to get an International license. Maybe even a german license via the reciprocity since I live in PA. Anyone knows about Pa Driving Test?

A. If you want to just drive a car that you are buying in European delivery (like BMW, Mercedes) you don't need a German license. I don't know that this reciprocity works that way you want it to. If you have a valid German driver's license, and live in PA, you can get a PA license without any tests - but you have to surrender your German one. Can't have both at the same time, they will tell you. There are ways around this, but the simplest way is just to turn it in, so you don't have to do the driving test or "written" test. As a PA driver, you can't get a German license while you are visiting for two weeks just for the heck of it because you are from PA. It is not that simple. I am married to a woman from Germany, and we have been through this. I spend time in both countries.
