Q. can someone please tell me if you know of any post-secondary institutions that offer online courses ?

A. On of the most interesting is MIT Open courseware http://ocw.mit.edu/index.html They are adding free online courses..and even video tapes of their actual classes. I watched a course one day last year...and it was neat...streamed really nicely.and you saw a top professor at MIT and the camera panned the actual room.
