Know anything about online high schools?

Q. I'm checking into taking my sophomore daughter out of public schools and enrolling her in an online high school. I have two questions for which I'd really appreciate any answers to! I've looked at the Web sites for Oak Meadow, Trent Academy, and Christa McAuliffe Internet School. Does anyone have any experience with these or any other high-school level internet schools? Does anyone have any experience starting homeschooling at the age my daughter's at?

A. Yes this is my first year of homeschooling my sons whom are in the 9th and 10th grades. My eldest son was doing quite terribly, just sleeping through classes and goofing off since they were to busy to keep him awake. Now that he and I are in charge of his learning and I know what he supposed to be doing he is doing so much remarkably better! Wish my husband woulda let me take him out years ago. He is not thrilled with homeschooling as he liked to do nothing and hang out with his friends, but he has to admit for the first time he is learning. :) When we first started math he would miss over half the questions, then I would make him redo them over and over till he had them all right. After a couple days of his laziness, he finally figured out to apply himself and learn :) Iv told them there is no sense in getting anything but A's because we have all the time in the world to learn it correctly before we move on. He was so used to doing things halfway and not caring he was furious about having to redo them. Now he gets 95% or more right the first time :)) well worth it if you ask me. I don't know what its like to teach younger children, but I think Highschoolers are perfect to teach because they do so much of everything on there own. Good luck in what you decide to do.
