Driving is one of the few activities in life where you feel completely alone, How do you think that?ECept Education > Driver Education Q. I'm with the other responders to this post. Your truck is not, in any way, designed for speeds over 100 mph. There is no crackhead driver in the world that you need to pass so badly that you have to risk your life and the lives of everyone on the road around you. You may want to take a quick peek in your mirror the next time you call another driver a crackhead (but PLEASE, slow down to 80 or so first). I fear that the advice being given to you here will not make a difference in your driving habits, but I certainly hope you don't have to learn the hard way. Driving is one of the few activities in life where you feel completely alone, yet hold the lives of everyone around you in your own hands. How one can take that lightly, I will never know... I mean no offense, I understand your predicament, but I sincerely hope you do not find a feasible solution to removing your speed limiter. If you need to go 100 mph, buy yourself a late model stock car and head to your local short track... A. The above is where I disagree. In my state's driving manual (yours may be different) it clearly states that there is NO EXCEPTION to the speed limit (though we ALL know that you can do up to about 10 MPH right past a cop and be pretty safe not getting pulled over if you're traveling with traffic) including when passing. This is what the drivers manual says, this is what I was taught in Driver's Education. As a matter of fact, from my state's online driver's manual: "When passing other vehicles or changing lanes to avoid hazards, do so with caution and only when necessary. You must not exceed the speed limit to pass another vehicle."

Excessive Speed on Wisconsin HighwaysI'm concerned about the speed with which a number of drivers travel the roads in Wisconsin, particularly in Waukesha County.
