Education Q&A

transcription correspondence schools

ECept Education > Distance Education

Q. I have a friend who is interested in taking a transcription correspondence course. I am basically a lurker who knows that members in this group are knowledgeable about such things. Would anyone like to reveal the best/worst for her?

A. IMHO, the best correspondence school is the California College for the Health Sciences. They can be previewed at http://www.cchs.edu Why did you recommend CCHS over some of the other schools? I've always heard that the MTMonthly site and Linda Andrews' site had the best courses. CCHS offers some pretty good courses too. CCHS was started in 1976 and has been a leader in distance education since 1978. Their online bookstore is preety good - check out http://www.cchs.edu/AHP FWIW, he is not a working MT nor a student enrolled in any program. He is taking a few courses here and there and likes to be helpful and help people out with stuff like this. And Jeff, if you don't feel this is accurate DO NOT EMAIL ME about it or I will complain to your postmaster again. You can correct it here. I still don't want any email from you.
