This is a multi-year project supported by funds from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. My lower-division college-level course will explore how converging media technologies will impact various aspects of our lives: economic, social, political, and legal. We'll cover the traditional media from a historical, and structural, and technological perspectives. More important, the course will use Lotus' Domino intranetwork program so that students can collaborate asynchronously on topical issues and projects. Last semester I taught this course via Lotus Notes through a file transfer process but this time out we'll be on the WEB.
