Seeking Seminary that offers Distance Education courses ?ECept Education > Distance Education Q. I am currently working on a degree through Regis University in Denver by way of videotape, voice-mail and correspondance. I have a friend who has been very impressed by the quality of information that I am able to receive from this system and has raised the question, "Is there a comparable program offerred by one or more Seminaries that would allow him to pursue an advanced degree in Religion?" Does anyone know of such a program that I could refer him to? A. You may be interested in a project just announced by EWTN. The International Catholic University, to be based out of Notre Dame, IN, is planning on offering distance learning courses. Though the program is not yet in full swing, you can reach them at (800) 852-9962. The same people who publish my book also publish a book called "Walston's Guide to Earning Religious Degrees Nontraditionally." I have nothing to do with this book, nor am I familiar with this field, but it seems to offer a lot of interesting and relevant alternatives. I have both books (recently ordered) and have learned much from them. I can highly recommend them both, and you will not be disappointed They are worththe investment. it's not a seminary, but Pacific Christian College in Fullerton has a Master of Arts in Ministry program that can be completed with only limited time on campus. It is accredited by the Western Association of Colleges and Universities, and many seminaries will allow courses from this program to be transferred into their M.Div. programs, Fuller Seminary in Pasadena being one that accepts P.C.C. credits.
